Who operates BenChecked
BenChecked is operated by BenChecked LLC in Kentucky. These terms cover personal accounts, professional accounts, reviews, connections, neighborhood features, and messaging. Questions: support@benchecked.com.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate account information. Keep your login secure and do not impersonate another person or business. Personal and professional profiles can share one login, but must represent their actual owners. Do not create duplicate accounts to manipulate reviews or connections.
Professional listings
Professionals are responsible for their descriptions, credentials, licensing, insurance, services, and compliance with rules that apply to their profession. Membership purchases access to platform features; it does not buy favorable reviews, a guaranteed ranking, leads, or an endorsement. Professional subscriptions are covered by our Subscription Terms.
What verification means
An account confirmation or active membership badge does not establish that someone is licensed, background checked, or qualified, or that a reviewed job independently occurred. Phone identity verification is not currently required. Reviews are members’ reported experiences. Check credentials and suitability yourself before hiring a professional.
Reviews and community conduct
Reviews must describe your own genuine experience and be truthful. One review per personal account per professional is allowed; you may update or delete your review. Do not submit fake reviews, review your own business, coordinate rating manipulation, offer rewards conditioned on positive ratings, harass others, or publish private information. Disclose a material relationship or incentive if relevant. Photos must be yours to share and must not reveal others’ personal information without permission.
Publishing and moderation
Reviews normally publish automatically. We may investigate reports, remove content that violates these terms, and restrict or suspend accounts. Honest negative reviews are allowed; paying for membership does not entitle a professional to remove criticism. Report suspected fake reviews or abusive content to support@benchecked.com. Neighborhood requests may be reviewed to prevent duplicates and misuse; do not post your street address in public content.
Your content
You retain ownership of your content. You give BenChecked LLC a nonexclusive permission to host, store, display, and process it as needed to operate the service. Public profiles, reviews, and review photos may be visible to other people. Messages are intended for participants and may be accessed by authorized personnel for support, safety, or legal reasons. See our Privacy Policy.
Hiring and messaging
BenChecked provides a directory and communication platform. Service contracts, quotes, payment for professional work, and disputes about that work are between you and the professional. We do not provide the listed professional services. Personal users initiate customer conversations; professionals must not use the platform for unsolicited customer messages. Professional-to-professional messaging must also comply with these terms.
Availability and responsibility
The service and user content are provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that listings or reviews are accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, BenChecked LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. These terms do not exclude liability or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Ending an account and changes
You can request account deletion through support@benchecked.com or privacy@benchecked.com. Some records may remain where needed for legal, security, or billing purposes. We may change these terms and will communicate material changes through the service or your account email. Changes do not retroactively authorize new charges. Kentucky law governs these terms, subject to applicable mandatory consumer protections.
